Description
This recipe is a copycat version of my favorite smoothie at Sunlife Organics. I fell in love with this smoothie last year, but because I don’t live near a Sunlife Organics, I had to learn to make it at home. After a few rounds of testing, I finally nailed the ratios and am so excited to share the recipe with you! It’s packed with fruits and vegetables and tastes absolutely delicious. Perfect for a mid-day snack, light breakfast, or post-workout boost. I hope you try it!
Note: if your fruit isn’t frozen, use fresh fruit and add about a cup of ice cubes to the blender before blending.
Ingredients
- 1 cup banana, frozen (1 banana)
- 1 cup apple, diced (1 medium apple)
- 1/2 cup strawberries, frozen
- 1 1/2 cups kale, packed (substitute with spinach if you prefer)
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 1 cup oat milk or water, plus more as needed
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: scoop of plain protein powder
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth. Add oat milk or water as needed to achieve your desired consistency.
